Our client is a leading food manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK and are looking for a multi-skilled shift engineer to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities:
4. Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production & packaging machinery
5. Worked on control panels, HMi’s, PLC’s, SCADA Systems
6. Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairs
7. Continuous improvement projects
8. Dealing with motors, VSD’s, servo drives, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, inverters
9. Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
10. Multi skilled engineer – ideally electrically biased
11. NVQ Level 3 electrical engineering or maintenance minimum
12. Ideally HNC / HND qualified
13. Must have worked in some form of fast-paced / Food / FMCG manufacturing industry
14. 18th Edition beneficial
15. Strong electrical & mechanical problem solving skills
16. Knowledge of PLC’s, automation & control systems, HMi’s
17. Continuous improvement mentality
18. Willingness to help in all areas of the team
19. Worked on motors, inverters, VSD’s, sensors, switches, pneumatics, gearboxes
20. Ideally have worked with high-speed production & packaging machinery
