Key Responsibilities of the Lead Offshore Geotechnical Engineer:
5. Take the lead in managing and executing offshore geotechnical investigations for major projects
6. Provide expert geotechnical analysis, including soil sampling, testing, and interpretation of data
7. Lead the design, evaluation, and optimization of geotechnical solutions for offshore foundations and infrastructure
8. Oversee a team of engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff
9. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
10. Ensure compliance with industry safety, quality, and environmental standards
11. Develop and deliver technical reports, presentations, and recommendations to clients
Requirements to be considered:
12. Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; MSc preferred
13. Relevant offshore geotechnical experience, with a proven track record in a leadership role
14. In-depth knowledge of geotechnical site investigations, soil mechanics, and offshore foundation design
15. Experience with offshore geotechnical software, analysis tools, and investigation techniques
16. Strong leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary teams
17. Live in or near to Norfolk
