Job Role: Manufacturing Operator
Location: Norwich
Hours: Rotating weekly shifts – Week one 1400 - 2200 & Week two 0600 - 1400, Monday to Friday ongoing regular work.
Starting pay: £12.21 per hour + overtime after 40 hours per week. Temp to Perm.

We are seeking a number of full-time ongoing temporary to permanent Manufacturing Operators for rotating day/late shifts, ideally from a previous manufacturing background.
The job holder may occasionally work alone after training in a non-food manufacturing environment. Standard PPE is required (safety shoes, garments, hairnet, hearing protection) to be worn on a daily basis.

Responsibilities
* Manual role involving packing products, labeling, and palletising of product in line with SOPs relating to specific lines and products.
* Carrying out quality checks; hourly inspection of the product, quarantining and back checking components, and completing associated documentation. Restarting production to correct standards if poor quality is found.
* Running machinery and attending to remedial line stoppages, minimising downtime throughout the shift.
* Safely starting and stopping auxiliary assembly equipment when required.
* Collecting materials and continually filling the hoppers throughout the shift as required.
* Emptying waste bins and recycling and weighing scrap.
* General housekeeping activities and ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy.
* Any other responsible duties as required by the Team Leader that fall within the scope of this role and the department.
* Checking product quality to ensure product meets the specification and deciding when to escalate any product concerns and when to scrap products. Checking correct material and components are being used as detailed.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Previous experience within a production environment.
* Understanding of machine operation and running procedures.
* Good communication skills.
* A team player with good attention to detail.
* Initiative and a 'Can Do' approach with common sense.
* Good time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
