Executive Producer (Content) - Hits Radio Breakfast
We are looking for an Executive Producer to join our Hits Radio Breakfast show in London.
You will play a pivotal role in working with the brands Director of Content, Deputy Director of Content and presenters, shaping and executing the content strategy across Hits Radio’s morning output. You will lead a team of producers and presenters ensure the highest standards in planning and execution are delivered, primarily to achieve our audience and commercial goals.

What you will do
* Responsible for the weekday breakfast outputfor Hits Radio based in London and a pre-recorded highlight show at the weekend.
* Working with the Director (Content) you will devise and develop the content strategyto ensure Hits Radio Breakfast drives significant audience growth at a national level,winning audiences within the 25-44 demographic.
* You will develop, lead and manage a team of producers and presenters to ensure our output fits the brands REAL filter (relatable, entertaining, authentic and live) and isexecuted to the highest standards of a national radio brand.
* You will be responsible for making sure our output is relevant, highly entertaining andlives and breathes the brand values of Hits Radio. At the same time ensuring it createsa unique space in the breakfast market.
* You will deliver content that drives fame, relatability and topicality to make each radioshow an ‘event’. You will understand the different scales of treatments and when andwhere to action each one.
* You will maximise your forward planning skills to ensure the radio show generates truestand-out content in the future and be focussed beyond the next 24 hours.
* Ensure the radio show delivers the very best engagement from audiences, drivinglistener loyalty and increasing hours.
* Execute with the highest standards the brand’s guest strategy that delivers greatvalue on air, on social and PR from high profile guests. Developing relationships withtalent and agencies to ensure significant growth in this area.
* Work alongside the Director of Content, Deputy Director of Content and fellow ExecProducers to deliver coaching to both the producers and presenters, both in the liveenvironment and via specific coaching sessions.
* Collaborate closely with the Social and Video team to deliver concepts and formatsfrom the on-air team in addition to providing details on content from the on-airoutput. This will include driving buy-in from right across the team.
* Manage the logistics around pre-recorded local splits and ensure we are deliveringthe best ‘local’ for all regions the show broadcasts too.
* Ensure all of the content broadcast fulfils all requirements within the Ofcom Broadcasting Code.
* Work alongside Bauer’s enterprise team to ensure the highest standard in operationsfor our contesting strands.
What you will bring
* Strong understanding of the Hits Radio Brand, the music we play and the audience we serve.
* Knowledge of station play-out, scheduling and radio studio software.
* A very thorough understanding of both the law and Ofcom guidelines.
* Significant experience of working with national high-profile talent within the studio environment, including the ability to work directly with agents to ensure strong relationships, and diary management.
* Strong understanding of what makes compelling content for station’s audience.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills, designed to lead and inspire the team around you. Continuously playing the team to their strengths whilst developing areas for improvement.
* The ability to drive a highly motivated and energised environment whilst tackling challenges head on.
* Extensive, demonstrable experience managing and coaching nationally recognised broadcast talent at a senior level, including negotiating with agents, managing diaries and delivering structured feedback in both live and of-air environments.
* A proven track record of nurturing high-profile talent to drive core skill sets whilst ensuring high-level motivation and focus.
* Experience of delivering a national content plan that is highly competitive vs our national competitors.
* Great skill sets with office software including PowerPoint and Excel.
* Excellent audio editing skills
* The ability to perform as an Exec Producer at a national broadcast level, working in a fast moving and demanding environment.
