Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Shift Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the laundry area, ensuring that all linens, towels, and uniforms are cleaned, dried, and folded to the highest standards. This role is essential in supporting our hospitality services and enhancing the overall guest experience.
Duties
* Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
* Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items according to established procedures.
* Inspect linens and garments for stains or damages, reporting any issues to management.
* Maintain cleanliness in the laundry area by performing regular cleaning tasks.
* Oversee the daily operations of the laundry facility, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
* Assist in training new staff members on laundry procedures and safety measures.
* Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean items.
* Manage inventory of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
* Completing orders for delivery.
* Ensuring all staff have clear direction of which orders to finish & maintaining a flow of shift.
* Greeting & answering phone calls, emails for any customers with a friendly & professional manner.
* Working with a team of 10+ to ensure complete efficiency throughout.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in laundry services or managing people, or both would be preferred.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
* Experience in hospitality or hotel settings is advantageous.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members effectively.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
