A friendly firm of solicitors based in Manchester City Centre is seeking a professional, calm and confident Administrator to join its small team.
This varied, hands on role combines high level administrative support with legal executive style duties and would suit someone with Legal Secretary or similar professional office experience who is looking to broaden their responsibilities within a legal environment.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for clients, supporting solicitors with case progression and helping to ensure all procedures and documentation remain fully compliant.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing client communications,
* Coordinating diaries and appointments,
* Chasing information and documents, and
* Carrying out careful checks to ensure paperwork is correctly completed and properly documented.
The role also involves preparing and handling legal correspondence, opening and closing files, maintaining accurate records on the case management system, and managing post and document dispatch.
Experience with Royal Mail Click and Drop would be advantageous.
Daily use of IT systems is required, including case management software, online booking tools, Zoom, Xero, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
The firm is looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a professional and confident telephone manner, strong organisational ability, and meticulous attention to detail. Good IT skills, the ability to prioritise in a busy office, and a proactive, team focused approach are essential.
Previous experience in a professional office environment is desirable, particularly within legal or professional services, although not essential.
