Job Title: Clinical Psychologist
Location: Closeburn House School, Dumfries and Galloway, DG3 5HP
Salary: £51,150 – £58,000 (pro rata, DOE)
Hours: 15 hours/week, 2 days (08:30–16:30)
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join a multidisciplinary team at Closeburn House School, a specialist day school for young people aged 11–19 with autism, trauma-related needs and SEMH. You will deliver psychological assessments and interventions, contribute to school development, and offer consultation and training. You will manage a caseload with support from a clinical supervisor and site lead, in line with OFG Psychological Practice standards.

About The Role
Working alongside education staff, you will deliver psychological assessments and interventions, contribute to school development, and offer consultation and training. You’ll manage a caseload with support from a clinical supervisor and site lead, in line with our OFG Psychological Practice standards.
This role supports opportunities for growth, involvement in research projects, special interest groups, and participation in a wider psychological therapy network that meets regularly for training and development. You will have flexibility and be able to work creatively to deliver specialist psychological assessment and intervention fostering independence within an education setting. You’ll also contribute to developing an enhanced psychological therapy offer through supporting the growth of apprentices, students and therapy assistants.

Essential Criteria
* HCPC-registered Psychologist
* Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, or Educational Psychology
* Experience working with neurodivergent and/or SEMH populations
* Skilled in MDT collaboration and systemic consultation
* Competent in psychological formulation, intervention, and training delivery
* Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
* Committed to trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming practice
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable
* Experience in school/residential settings
* Supervision training or experience
* Post-qualification training in relevant interventions
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and service design
