Job Summary
Job reference REQ05303 – located at The Quays, South Wales. Total reward starting from £45,983 and a starting salary of £37,280 – £40,777 plus a £3k market supplement. In addition, a local pension scheme with 15.3% employer contributions, holiday entitlement of 25 days (increasing to 32 days after five years) and discounted gym membership with Celtic Leisure are included. Contractual hours are 37 per week, full time.
Responsibilities
* Support the Principal Engineer in project management of Capital maintenance and renewal projects, including procurement, delivery and administration of design and construction through procured design and construction frameworks in line with current design standards and SWTRA quality management processes.
* Manage and engage multiple service providers, producing and verifying task orders, invoices, works programme and financial forecasting, taking into account local constraints.
* Administer the performance management regime for service providers in relation to design and construction services.
* Review processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective use of financial allocations, and that works are delivered on time, on cost and to quality standards without undue public or media reaction.
* Work closely with SWTRA’s Area Operations, Network Management teams, Service Providers and stakeholders to establish, manage and update a coordinated annual programme of works that complies with Welsh Government and SWTRA Network occupancy strategy.
* Assist Welsh Government in the planning and prioritisation of annual programmes of works.
* Comply with Health and Safety, environmental and quality policies as defined within the SWTRA Integrated Management System.
* Perform any other duties required to support the delivery of objectives commensurate with the grading of the post.
