Job description
Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership (SHWP) is recruiting a Community Builder (Rural) to start in January 2026. Competitive salary of £32,888 per annum (pro rata). Flexible working hours 22.5 hours per week (days to be agreed to include Thursdays). This is a hybrid role with travel across the rural Stour area.
Responsibilities
* Work with residents and stakeholders in the more rural Stour areas to foster partnership working, connect and strengthen local communities, and to reduce social and rural isolation.
* Listen to local people, help communities identify challenges, and support them in creating new initiatives or enhancing existing ones to meet their needs.
* Improve links between services, existing groups, new initiatives and the community to increase community health and wellbeing.
* Coordinate and support initiatives, manage projects, and measure their impact.
Qualifications
* Full driving licence and use of a car for work purposes.
* Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of rural challenges.
* Experience of managing projects and measuring their impact is desirable.
