Role Details:
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the occupational therapy team within HMP Edinburgh. The successful candidate will work with prisoners experiencing mental health issues, demonstrating enthusiasm, motivation, and skills in clinical decision-making, risk management, and prioritization of needs. Occupational Therapy leadership is integrated within the team, providing ongoing support to deliver a high-quality, person-centered occupational therapy service.
The successful candidate will have strong links with occupational therapists working in Scottish prisons and within mental health services in Lothian.
Leadership, innovation, and an interest in practice development are essential skills. The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Professional supervision, training, and development are integral to the service.
