Our client is seeking a Senior Associate with at least five years of post‑qualification experience to join its Corporate & Commercial team. This permanent role involves advising local and international clients, including private individuals, institutions, and professional intermediaries. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of matters, including corporate and commercial law, banking and finance transactions, and trust law advice.
Job Duties
* Manage files and transactions, resolving issues as they arise.
* Identify key legal and commercial issues proactively.
* Work collaboratively within the team and support partners as required.
* Provide clear, technically accurate legal advice to clients.
* Demonstrate commercial awareness relevant to clients objectives.
* Adhere to the firms procedures, including anti‑money laundering regulations and time‑recording requirements.
* Communicate effectively with clients regarding scope, costs, progress, and any emerging issues.
* Manage multiple workstreams for various clients.
* Maintain and develop existing client relationships.
* Participate in business development activities both individually and with colleagues.
* Mentor and supervise junior team members when required.
Job Requirements
* Qualified lawyer with up to seven years of post‑qualification experience.
* Experience in corporate and/or commercial law and/or banking and finance.
* Knowledge of trust law in relation to Jersey‑administered trusts and corporate structures or high‑net‑worth private clients is advantageous.
* Strong technical legal skills and commercial awareness.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
* A proactive and client‑focused approach.
