Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Pharmaceutical Payment Manager to support the FPS Pharmaceutical Service Manager in the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical payment and business services. The post holder will contribute to the operational management of payment systems and support service improvements across Family Practitioner Services (FPS).
Key Duties
1. Support day-to-day management of pharmaceutical payment and business services
2. Lead development of customer-focused systems and procedures
3. Deputise for the Pharmaceutical Service Manager when required
4. Contribute to service improvement strategies and new service development
5. Provide advice on dental and ophthalmic claims and patient entitlements
6. Monitor data quality, financial accuracy, and control environments
7. Supervise staff and allocate workloads
8. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Department of Health NI
Essential Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following:
9. Degree or professional qualification in Business or Finance and at least 2 years' experience in a payment/finance environment, including 1 year at management level
OR
10. At least 5 years' experience in a payment/finance environment, including 1 year at management level
Desirable
11. Knowledge or experience of FPS processing or payment systems
