Personal Assistant £32,380 per annum (pay award pending) Grade 5 Leeds / Hybrid Full time 37 hours per week Permanent Closing date: Sunday 21 September 2025 at 11:55pm Please note that the Combined Authority will consider requests for part-time working and/or job share. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Personal Assistant to join our well-established Senior Leadership Support Team. Experience of providing confidential administrative support in a busy environment is essential along with excellent communication skills. The ability to establish strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders is fundamental to this important role. You will be the first point of contact for Directors and will be required to work collaboratively with teams and the wider directorates. This post is subject to vetting clearance. Due to the nature of this role, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will be subject to relevant vetting checks at the appropriate level and any job offer will be conditional subject to successful vetting clearance. Applicants should be aware that it is not possible to make meaningful vetting enquiries in many jurisdictions outside the UK. Vetting clearance cannot therefore be granted if the applicant has not been resident in the UK for the relevant minimum period and comparable vetting enquiries cannot be made in jurisdictions where the individual has been residing. The relevant periods are three years for NPPV 1&2 and five years for NPPV3. Further guidance can be found here. The Role Reporting into the Executive Assistant, your key responsibilities will include: · Providing a high-level professional, confidential secretarial and administrative service to the Directors of West Yorkshire Combined Authority. · Managing the Director’s inbox, including prioritisation, responding, delegating and drafting responses on their behalf along with diary management. · Utilising knowledge of the Combined Authority’s priorities to manage enquires from various internal and external stakeholders and actioning urgent enquiries in the absence of Directors applying judgement in how queries should be dealt with. · Providing professional and confidential secretariat support to various meetings and ensuring Directors are prepared for meetings including commissioning and managing briefings, report and actions for meetings. · Arranging, sourcing and booking cost effective travel and accommodation for Directors and preparing travel itineraries and booking of venues for conferences/events. About You You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience: · Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English or equivalent. · Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role. · Experience of responding efficiently and clearly to requests from customers and stakeholders. · Strong communication skills and team player. · Experience of successfully identifying appropriate communication channels to deliver information.
