Assistant Support Manager – Division of Surgery, General Surgery

Hours: 37 hours per week

The Division of Surgery – Unit 2, is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as Assistant Support Manager. The unit comprises a wide variety of complex services, including General Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery, delivering care to patients within both inpatient and outpatient settings and across a number of sites throughout NHS Grampian and beyond.

The post holder will have delegated responsibility for day-to-day operational management, including the management of complex clinical rotas, quality assurance, as well as supporting service improvement work and driving innovation and change.

The successful candidate will be organised and adaptable, with a proven track record of service delivery, excellent people‑management skills, experience in understanding and presenting data and collaborative working. This is a demanding position, but one which will offer excellent opportunities for career development and progression. This is a chance to build upon experience in a fast‑paced and high‑profile service that represents a key performance area for NHS Grampian.
