Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Tyldesley, Greater Manchester
Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker to support four adults with autism and learning disabilities in our new home in Tyldesley. The role involves empowering independence, leading by example, and supporting a dedicated team.
Responsibilities
* Act as a senior member of the team, advocating for continuous development of the home and role‑modeling best practice in care.
* Take the lead and manage shifts, making appropriate decisions where needed.
* Lead and participate in team meetings, supervisions, and training, supporting employee development and contributing to a strong and consistent team ethos.
* Provide person‑centred care and support tailored to individual needs.
* Build trusting relationships and support emotional and behavioural needs using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
* Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication, and household tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
* Level 2 Adult Care Worker qualification or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a care role.
* Commitment to continuous improvement of the home and team.
* Passion for person‑centred care.
* Resilience, positivity and proactive mindset.
* Previous mentoring, team lead or supervisory experience is beneficial (full training provided).
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
