Our superb client with offices based in Peterborough is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join them on a full-time permanent basis working 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the company procurement strategies, sourcing and reviewing International suppliers, cost-effective material sourcing, driving cost reductions and conducting costs analysis, negotiating contracts and pricing terms and agreements, conducting supplier performance reviews, implementing continuous improvement ensuring company compliance and mitigating any supply chain risks, leading a small team, working closing with other sites and departments and working on new project initiatives.
To be considered for the Purchasing Manager position you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within procurement / purchasing / buying ideally within manufacturing or the automotive sector, proven experience in supplier negotiation and strategic product sourcing, strong team management (thins can be in other sectors) and leadership skills, exceptional communication skills, commercially aware and experienced in continuous improvement.
In return, our client is offering a starting salary up to £40,000 for the role of Purchasing Manager, 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, pension, social events, onsite parking.
