Materials Assistant
Werndale Hospital, Carmarthen – Part‑time (30 hours/week), Permanent, Salary up to £26,029.00 FTE per year (depending on experience, training and qualification).
Overview
Werndale Hospital is part of Circle Health Group, Britains leading provider of independent healthcare. We have an opportunity for a Materials Assistant to join our team in the Materials department. This is a part‑time role for 30 hours a week with a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role
* Active member of the Materials Department, involved in the day‑to‑day running of the department.
* Provide an effective and high‑quality materials management service to all internal customers.
* Ensure stock availability through correct order processing and replenishment of pre‑approved stock and products for central stores or on behalf of hospital departments.
* Maintain all departmental paperwork and files in good order with reference to accuracy, appropriateness and availability.
* Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
Applicants should meet the following criteria
* Minimum of GCSE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.
* Proficiency in the use of a PC, including software such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
* Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
* Customer service skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
