We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy, productive, forward-thinking team as our Head of Lettings Accounts. This position is based in Charters Head office in Chandlers Ford and has an OTE range of £38,000 - £40,000.
About the Role
As Head of Lettings Accounts, you will lead the financial operations of our busy lettings accounts department. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of all client accounting processes while delivering exceptional service to landlords, tenants, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all lettings-related financial processes, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
Oversee tenant and landlord queries, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of company services.
Prepare financial reports on lettings income, expenditure, arrears, and account performance.
Manage payments to landlords, contractors, and third parties.
Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations.
Lead, mentor, and develop accounts lettings team.
Act as the primary point of contact for lettings-related financial queries.
Review, refine, and enhance existing financial systems and processes.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations including AML, data protection, and landlord/tenant legislation.
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through clear communication and efficient service.
Focus on collection of overdue funds from both, Landlords, Tenants and third parties.
What We're Looking For:
3–5 years' experience in accounts or a similar finance role, ideally degree-qualified or AAT Level 3 (or equivalent).
Proven experience in a senior, supervisory, or management role with responsibility for coaching and developing staff.
Property or Lettings Industry experience beneficial
Strong leadership capability with a passion for building high-performance teams.
Commercially astute with strong financial acumen.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, confident when engaging colleagues, clients, and external partners.
Data-driven with the ability to interpret financial and performance metrics and turn insights into improvements.
Proactive, adaptable, and resilient, able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
