Sales Administrator, Trade Counter
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Noble Recruiting is working with a family-run building materials supplier in Chelmsford who is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Sales Administrator to join their busy trade counter team.This is a great opportunity for someone with trade counter experience who enjoys dealing with customers, processing orders, providing product advice and keeping the day running smoothly.
You will be the first point of contact for customers, supporting with enquiries, quotes, sales transactions, stock updates and general administration. The role would suit someone approachable, organised and confident working in a fast-paced trade environment.
You will be responsible for:
* Serving customers at the trade counter and providing helpful product advice
* Processing orders, quotes, invoices and payments accurately
* Handling telephone and email enquiries
* Upselling products where appropriate
* Liaising with the yard, delivery team and wider business to support smooth customer service
* Helping with stock checks and ordering when required
* Supporting with refunds, credit checks, order updates and general administration
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience within a trade counter environment
* Building materials experience would be an advantage
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Good computer and administration skills
* A positive, proactive and reliable approach
* The ability to work well as part of a small, busy team
