Here at Hitachi Rail, we have a great opportunity for a dedicated Train Presentation Team Leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Bristol at Stoke Gifford Train Maintenance Centre.
Basic Salary up to £44,139
15% Shift allowance

Accountabilities
In this exciting new role, you will be managing a direct team of Train Presentation Supervisors and Contract Cleaning teams alongside liaising with Contract Management and other departments. This is a permanent role working on a rotating shift basis. This role is permanent nights, 4 on 4 off shift pattern basis.
Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:
1. Compliance with regards to all cleaning activities as required in the TSA Contract.
2. Responsible for the ongoing management of the shift Train Presentation Supervisors.
3. Responsible for providing clarity and direction to the depot cleaning teams as and when required
4. Work closely with the depot Production team to ensure that allocated sets undertake internal and external cleaning to the required standards.
5. Daily management of the KPI cleaning regime and associated KPI reporting.
6. Document and record all cleaning activities as required to support the customer passenger service.
7. Develop a strong working relationship with stakeholders and continuously improve train cleaning standards and avoidance of KPI Standards failures.
8. Promote Health and Safety within the cleaning team and raise awareness amongst all staff of appropriate Health and Safety Regulations.
9. To actively support company equality, diversity and inclusion policies.
10. Take ownership of all cleaning activities to ensure that standards and required timescales are consistently met.
11. Actively take part in HSE and quality audits
12. Report any accidents or incidents
13. Work to create a culture a ‘One Hitachi’ culture
14. To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of this position.
About you
Required Skills/ Knowledge
15. Experience of delivering cleaning standards to an efficient, high quality within a transport environment.
16. Outstanding Safety Awareness.
17. Ability to carry out equipment checks, maintenance procedures.
18. Experience and understanding of professional cleaning and KPI regimes.
19. Excellent team management and communication skills
20. Intermediate IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.
21. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
22. An understanding of health and safety requirements of a working environment
Education/Qualifications
23. Previous management experience
24. Previous experience of Cleaning Supervision to exacting standards
Behavioural
25. Able to represent Hitachi in a professional manner at all times.
26. Proven experienced manager with very strong leadership skills.
27. Calm and diplomatic under pressure
28. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
29. Able to interface effectively with all levels of personnel both within and outside the company.
Desired Skills (not essential)
30. IOSH, COSHH, Manual handling.
31. Experience of working in a rail depot environment and at stabling out stations.
32. Use of SAP
33. Management of Subcontractors
34. Knowledge of Cleaning technology and equipment
