A Wellington-based firm of chartered accountants is searching for an AAT Technician, or Part ACCA Accountant to join their team as a key hire with increasing responsibility and clear career development prospects in technical development and progression.
The firm serves a diverse client base including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies across various turnover levels and industry sectors, with particular experience in farming, landed estates and rural sectors. The team offers a strong culture focused on people development and flexible working hours, including hybrid options with up to 2 days of home working on offer once settled into the role.
Joining as an AAT Technician, or Part ACCA Accountant based in the firm’s Wellington offices, you will be involved in the preparation of financial statements for varied clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You will also assist with personal and corporate tax compliance work, and help to manage juniors by reviewing bookkeeping work and providing guidance. Your responsibilities and involvement with clients and tax/project work will increase over time as you develop within the team, with study support available for those pursuing further qualifications.

Responsibilities
* Prepare financial statements for wide-ranging clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
* Assist with personal and corporate tax compliance work.
* Support and review junior staff’s bookkeeping work, providing guidance.
* Engage with clients and participate in broader accounting and tax project work as skills develop.
Qualifications
* Qualified AAT, or studying for AAT; alternatively pursuing ACCA or other accounting qualifications.
* Alternatively, career progression via experience in an accountancy practice with at least two to three years in the sector.
* Experience in preparing year-end accounts and tax services for clients.
Job Offer
* Circa £26,000 – £32,000 dependent on experience, plus benefits.
