Drive Sales. Build Relationships. Represent Leading Construction Brands. My client is looking for an experienced Construction Area Sales Manager to join their strong, motivated team in Essex. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to become part of one of their top-performing branches. Reporting directly to the Construction Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth of construction machinery and equipment within a designated area. You will promote leading brands including, generating new business while also developing relationships with an established customer base. Key Responsibilities Drive sales of construction machinery and related equipment. Develop new business opportunities within your territory. Manage and grow existing customer accounts. Promote a portfolio of leading construction equipment brands. Conduct customer visits, demonstrations, and presentations. Meet and exceed agreed sales targets. Maintain accurate records and manage administrative tasks. Plan efficient customer visits and routes.Required Skills & Experience Proven sales experience, ideally within construction or agricultural equipment. Strong knowledge of the industry and machinery. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships. Confident in identifying opportunities, up selling, and closing deals. Target-driven with a history of achieving or exceeding sales goals. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Experience demonstrating equipment to customers. Good organisational and administrative abilities. High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel. Experience using Google Maps for route planning and customer visits. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Professional, smart, and presentable. Reliable, dependable, and consistent in performance. Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures. Willingness to attend training and maintain product knowledge.
