Site Engineer
Location: Cheshire (travel across the region required)
Salary: Up to GBP45,000 + benefits package
About the Role
Randstad are delighted to be partnering with a Tier One Contractor to recruit a Site Engineer to join their growing team in Cheshire. As a key member of the project delivery team, you will be responsible for the technical and quality aspects of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret complex engineering drawings and designs to set out and survey the works.
* Manage all on:site technical issues, ensuring works align with design specifications and quality plans.
* Conduct regular quality checks, inspections, and audits.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive site records (QA documentation, diaries, as:built drawings).
* Liaise with the Project Manager, design teams, and subcontractors for efficient project delivery.
* Implement and promote stringent health, safety, and environmental policies.
* Mentor and guide junior engineering staff.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Significant Site Engineer experience on major civil engineering projects (highways, rail, water, or major infrastructure).
* A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Strong IT skills and proficiency in relevant software (CAD and surveying equipment: GPS, Total Stations).
* Exceptional problem:solving skills and a proactive approach.
* Deep understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel within Cheshire.
