CNC Operator / CNC Machinist We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client for an experienced CNC Operator / CNC Machinist to join their production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic engineering environment, producing high-quality precision components. Role Overview You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to manufacture components to exacting tolerances, in accordance with engineering drawings and production requirements. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC milling and/or turning machines Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine settings Manufacture precision components to strict tolerances Conduct quality checks using measuring equipment (e.g. verniers, micrometres, gauges) Adjust machines to maintain quality and operational efficiency Meet production targets and deadlines consistently Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment Perform basic machine maintenance and report any faults promptly Adhere to all health & safety and quality procedures at all times Skills & Experience Proven CNC machining experience (milling or turning) is essential Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality Competent in using precision measuring instruments Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team Hours & Shifts Monday to Friday Typical shifts: NGHTS Pay Rate £14.00 – £16.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level Overtime paid at enhanced rates (where applicable) Additional Information Full-time, permanent or temporary-to-permanent opportunities available Ongoing support provided by the recruitment agency throughout your placement
