Bank Engineer / Electrician – Spire Leicester Hospital
Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking an experienced Engineer / Electrician to join our Bank team. This flexible role supports the hospital during peak periods, annual leave, and staff absence, helping to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a comprehensive engineering and maintenance service across the hospital site
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), testing, calibration, and fault finding
* Diagnose and repair faults across plant, equipment, and building systems
* Support installation works and ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Electrical and general building maintenance
* Water systems
* Ventilation systems
* Decontamination equipment
* Medical gas systems
* General engineering duties
Qualifications
* Completed a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
* City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant discipline
* Proven experience in building services within a similar environment
* Strong working knowledge of plant and building systems
* Ability to prioritise workloads and respond to changing demands
* Up‑to‑date understanding of compliance and relevant legislation (or willingness to learn)
