Supply Lunchtime Welfare Assistant
Location: Primary Schools in Bootle | Start Date: September & October 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00am – 1:00pm | Term Time Only
Pay: £14.00 - £15.50 per hour

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting friendly, reliable, and caring individuals to work as Supply Lunchtime Welfare Assistants across our partner primary schools in Bootle starting this Autumn term.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Lunchtime Welfare Assistant, you’ll play an important role in helping children enjoy a safe and happy lunchtime. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supervising children in the playground, dining hall, and around school grounds.
* Encouraging positive play and good friendships.
* Helping children with their lunch and general needs.
* Supporting the smooth running of lunchtime routines.
* Promoting good behaviour and stepping in to manage minor issues calmly.
* Keeping the environment safe and tidy, including clearing up small spills.
* Reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff.
What We’re Looking For:
You don’t need formal experience, but you do need the right attitude! We’re looking for people who are:
* Reliable and punctual.
* Kind, patient, and enjoy working with children.
* Confident supervising and interacting with groups of children.
* Able to stay calm and fair when dealing with incidents.
* Clear communicators and good team players.
* Committed to safeguarding and the well-being of all pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
