Welding Inspector – Chesterfield & Loughborough
£360 per day all in rate (outside IR35) + 3-4 days/week on site between Chesterfield & Loughborough for 2 months then 5 days/week on site @ Teesside+ standard 40hr week + 12 month contract (rolling)
Welding Inspector responsibilities include:
* Provide independent testing, inspection and quality control services relating to equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction.
* Provide detailed reports following inspections & quality control.
* Equipment includes piping installations & rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines) and other mechanical items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations.
* Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation, and review of LTQRs.
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
Welding Inspector profile:
* Experience testing & inspecting piping installations, rotation equipment (including pumps, compressors, turbines, pressure vessels) etc.
* C&G Cert / or equivalent experience in Fabrication & Welding and/or HNC/BTEC in Engineering discipline.
* CSWIP 3.1/3.2
* Radiographic Interpretation Level II OR Liquid Penetrant Inspection Level II OR other MPI or UT (either current or lapsed)
* Sound understanding of Materials, Welding and NDE techniques.
* Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries.
* Ability to work successfully in a team, providing guidance, support and training as and when necessary.
