In today’s digital world, Business Continuity Management (BCM) is an increasingly critical capability for organisations in the face of ever more frequent Cyber-attacks, such as those to M&S, the Co-op and Jaguar Land Rover that have made news headlines in recent months, as well as the rapidly evolving geo-political and security climate globally. The greater frequency of extreme weather events further adds to BCM’s importance.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Acting as the subject matter expert (SME)/Adviser within own business area on DVLA Business Continuity best practice ensuring adherence to BCMS standards and templates and a range of maintenance activities in accordance with the Business Continuity Assurance Programme.
* Responsible for the design and implementation of scenario based ITS dress rehearsals through routine testing, working closely with the Corporate Business Continuity team in Estate Management and Portfolio Managers, to ensure the Business Continuity and recovery plans are fit for purpose and considered in the design, build and test phases of new or changed services.

* Your ability to communicate clearly and present information effectively will be essential, particularly when using tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to support service quality and decision-making.
* We are looking for someone who is proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
* You should be confident in coordinating incident responses and supporting others through training and knowledge-sharing.
* Experience representing your team in cross-functional meetings and contributing to broader organisational goals will also be valuable
