Care Assistant – Devizes Location: Devizes, Wiltshire, Salary: £14-£15 per hour
Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Devizes, Wiltshire, providing high-quality, person-centred care to residents in a peaceful and spiritual setting. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents’ wellbeing through personal care, assistance with daily routines, and gentle companionship, creating a safe and comforting environment that enhances their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Provide respectful, person-centred personal care tailored to each resident, including support with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
Assist with medication management, meal preparation, and feeding support to ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met
Encourage participation in daily activities, such as arts, crafts, and exercise, and provide companionship to reduce social isolation
Support mobility and ensure physical comfort with a caring approach, using hoists and other equipment as required
Help maintain a clean, welcoming environment through light domestic tasks, such as laundry and cleaning
Promote routine and consistency to enhance residents’ comfort and stability, working closely with the care team to develop personalized care plans
Maintain a calm and peaceful presence at all times, providing emotional support and reassurance to residents and their families
Required Skills & Experience
Previous experience in care, especially personal support and companionship, is preferred, although training and support will be provided for the right candidate
Kind, patient, and composed, with strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities
Reliable and flexible to provide consistent care, working a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
Ability to work in a female-only service, providing sensitive and respectful care to residents
