Key Role Deliverables
Personalised Financial Advice
1. Generate leads through prospecting, networking and relationship-building.
2. Meet with new customers to establish their financial goals
3. Provide holistic financial advice in the best interests of the customer by following the 6-step financial planning process
4. Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure long-term customer retention.
Holistic Financial Planning
Create comprehensive financial plans tailored to customers’ needs, including:
5. Personal protection planning, including life cover, funeral cover, severe illness cover, etc.
6. Saving for education and other goals
7. Investing for retirement
8. Planning at retirement
9. Assist in developing investment strategies aligned with clients' risk tolerance and financial goals.
10. Use appropriate advice tools to establish and record investment strategies aligned with customers’ risk tolerance and financial goals.
11. Make appropriate use of referral models to meet needs for home-loans, short-term insurance, wills, medical schemes, etc.
Continuous Learning and Market Insights
12. Comply with the processes and standards of Personal Financial Advice as well as relevant financial services legislation (FAIS).
13. Conduct a goal conversation and complete an analysis before recommending a solution
14. Complete the necessary learning, both initially and ongoing, to service the needs of customers by using the tools and product solutions available in the Personal Finance segment
15. Maintain awareness of changes in the economic, political, and regulatory environment.
Qualifications and Experience
16. A minimum of Matric or equivalent
17. A minimum 12 months’ financial services experience as a Financial Adviser
18. A minimum of Long-term Insurance Class of Business completion.
19. Completion of additional FAIS requirements such as Investments Class of Business, the Regulatory Examination 5 (RE5), an FSCA-approved qualification will be advantageous.
