The individual will work as a mechanic in the shop and at the race track. The mechanic will assemble and disassemble race cars and work to prepare them for race weekends. The mechanic must be versatile to work on all aspects of a race car, focusing on front, rear, and mid sections. At the race track, the mechanic will prepare the car for the track by making necessary changes when instructed. The individual will ensure that all components of the car are secured.
Responsibilities:
* Cleaning and inspecting suspension components
* Cleaning and inspecting engine ancillary components
* Disassembling race cars (suspension, engine, and interior components) as required
* Installing suspension components (front and rear)
* Trimming and installing various components
* Performing other related duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications:
* Certificate/Diploma from an Automotive Trade School or equivalent work experience (preferred)
* Previous experience as a mechanic from an automotive dealership or similar (preferred)
* Experience on a race team (preferred)
* Ability to use hand tools
* Ability to lift more than 20 lbs
* Ability to bend, kneel, sit, or stand for extended periods
This position is subject to periodic drug screenings during employment per sanctioning body guidelines.
