Job Description: Service Control Manager
Telent is seeking a Service Control Manager to join the Network Services Infrastructure team. This role is linked to the Fibre Build programme across Leeds and Yorkshire. The position requires working in an AGILE manner, combining work from subcontractor offices in Leeds, remote work, and site visits. A full UK driving license is essential.

This role involves developing and maintaining operational processes to support service delivery, including planning, scheduling, and performance management. You will interface with clients, subcontractors, and operational teams to ensure a flexible, well-supported schedule.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee end-to-end delivery across functional teams for the service area.
* Manage and develop the service control and scheduling team, including training and qualifications.
* Produce performance reports, liaise with stakeholders, and maintain forecasting accuracy.
* Manage offshore activities, enforce SLAs, and ensure safety standards are met.
* Act as the primary contact for the service area, ensuring proper mobilization and handover of activities.
* Standardize service delivery through centralized PMO & Service Control functions.
* Manage client dashboards and KPIs, ensuring accurate reporting and communication.
* Develop internal measures to uphold high standards and drive collaborative behavior.
* Support business objectives and seek continuous improvement through innovative approaches.
* Maintain and develop the Forward Programme, making optimal decisions for service payments.
* Generate regular reports in line with contractual and internal measures.
* Identify and manage risks and opportunities related to programme performance.
* Implement performance improvement plans and manage escalation processes.
Candidate Profile:
You are highly organized, results-driven, with experience in managing service delivery, preferably in telecommunications or construction. You excel at leading cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and reporting on performance. Client-facing skills, ability to work under pressure, and a passion for continuous improvement are essential. You must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to contribute to the Fibre Build programme.
Key Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
* Knowledge of construction sector safety and environmental standards.
* Strong people management skills in a matrix environment.
* Proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate financial and commercial awareness.
* Experience with Power BI or similar tools.
* Experience leading telecoms or capital projects with high-tech content in safety-critical environments.
