The Role
Provide valuation services across the Retail sector with a focus on going concern convenience, roadside retail (petrol stations), garden centres and other trading assets valued having regard to trading potential. You will be a key member of the Christie & Co valuation team of experts and be expected to network with banks, investors, accountants, and operators.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Compliance with RICS rules and regulations and company policies
2. Build internal and external relationships
3. Develop your external network of key contacts, including operators, solicitor, accountants and other professional bodies
4. Generate business using email, telephone, individual initiatives and other marketing
5. Maintain awareness of market activity
6. Responding efficiently and effectively to direct enquiries from prospective clients
7. Surveying and valuing properties and trading businesses to determine value
8. Preparing and delivering detailed reports
9. Working to and achieving targets
10. Cross-selling Group companies
11. Using and diligently maintaining the Christie & Co CRM database of contacts, properties and projects
You will work alongside our lead surveyor and agents who form a national team of specialist retail experts. You will report to the Managing Director, whilst retaining a good level of autonomy. Our brand, company reputation and market knowledge will help you to open doors and become a trusted advisor for clients to rely upon with confidence. You will also work closely with Christie Group company colleagues to cross-sell and gain business.

•Relevant qualification / RICS Chartered Status -Essential
•A minimum of one to two years post-qualification experience -Ideally
•Application of appropriate valuation techniques - Essential
•Thorough approach to valuations - Essential

•Understanding Accounts and Leases - Ideally
•Exceptional negotiation and communication skills - Essential
•Very strong IT skills with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Essential
