GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join schools in the Sheffield (S2) area. In the role of Behaviour Mentor, you will support pupils requiring extra behavioural and emotional guidance, assisting them in building positive mindsets, self-control, and key social skills. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor : Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and social, emotional needs. Promote positive behaviour strategies and help pupils develop emotional regulation skills. Support class teachers in maintaining a productive and inclusive classroom environment. Build trusting relationships with pupils to foster confidence, engagement, and progress. Remain patient, calm, and adaptable when addressing challenging behaviour. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor : Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable. Strong behaviour management, interpersonal, and communication skills. A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with gaps explained.
