Job Description : We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at The Red Lion Restaurant. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our culinary department and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes according to the menu and recipes, ensuring consistency and adherence to our quality standards.
Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food cost control.
Maintain a clean and organised work station, following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Assist in stock management, including inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering of ingredients and supplies.
Monitor portion sizes and wastage to minimize food costs and maintain profitability.
Uphold excellent food presentation, ensuring that all dishes are visually appealing and meet our high standards.
Contribute to the development and refinement of new dishes, incorporating creativity and innovation into our menu offerings.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods and strive for excellent customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles, and food presentation.
Proficient in various cooking methods and ability to work across different sections of the kitchen.
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members.
Food hygiene and safety certification is essential.
