Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite in Leicestershire
Day Rate: £550-£650 per day (inside IR35)
Interview Process: 2 stages

A leading consumer brand is seeking an experienced Interim Brand & Communications Director to bridge a short-term leadership gap within its marketing team. Following a recent restructure and the development of a strong growth marketing function, the brand and comms team is now being built out separately.
With a new CMO joining in June and the current interim director stepping into a permanent role elsewhere, this contractor will provide crucial leadership and continuity during the handover and onboarding period.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a junior marketing team (currently 2 contractors and 1 permanent staff)
* Execute against an already-defined brand and comms strategy
* Offer hands-on leadership across brand, comms, and social media channels
* Help recruit and onboard 3 permanent hires (Brand & Campaigns, Content & PR, Community Manager)
* Elevate current campaign delivery through a test-and-learn, data-driven approach
* Act as a key advisor to ensure smooth transition ahead of the new CMO's arrival
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in brand and communications leadership roles
* Strong execution focus with a hands-on approach
* Background in B2C and/or tech sectors preferred
* Social media fluency is a plus
* Data-driven mindset with an eye for measurable outcomes
* Experience managing and mentoring junior teams
