Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Enterprise Architect to take a leadership role within a large scale Big 4 organisation. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping, designing, and delivering complex, technology-enabled transformations across the health sector. You’ll help define the future of digital healthcare, working at the intersection of business strategy, clinical innovation, and cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end architectural solutions across multiple technologies and transformation programmes.
* Shape and evolve sector technology and architectural reference assets to ensure they remain innovative and relevant.
* Partner with senior health sector stakeholders (including CDIOs, CCIOs, and clinical/non-clinical leads) to drive digital adoption and modernisation.
* Provide technical oversight and architectural governance across multiple projects and programmes.
* Mentor and develop the next generation of architects, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
* Work closely with industry and technology teams to define strategic roadmaps and ensure alignment between business and IT.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven background in Enterprise or Solution Architecture, ideally within the health sector.
* Deep understanding of NHS National Architecture, local trust integration standards, and healthcare data interoperability.
* Experience with core clinical and non-clinical systems such as Electronic Patient Records (EPR), Shared Care Records, and Patient Portals.
* Familiarity with emerging technologies such as IoT, Robotics, Digital Twins, and BIM within a healthcare setting.
* Strong leadership experience in multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams.
* Skilled in managing senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives and Health Directors.
* Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, SAFe, or vendor-specific accreditations (e.g. Epiq, Cerner) are advantageous.
* Solid understanding of Cloud, Data, and AI technologies and their application in healthcare transformation.
