Description
Support the Exams Compliance Officer and Exams Manager to provide an effective and high quality Exams service that puts the candidates at its heart, working as an integral member of the Exams team, across all functions of the assessment process to ensure that core services are delivered to the highest customer service standards, in compliance with awarding body regulations and college policies.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
The following is an indication of the type and level of the main priorities expected of this role as directed by Executive Director or Director of Service and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties or tasks:
Maintain and update own knowledge of legislation and guidance which affects Exams, actively seeking out good practice and disseminating appropriately, attending relevant training/ CPD events and conferences and work with team members to ensure knowledge is shared. This will include keeping abreast of developments and changes in the specific fields relevant to the role.
Organise public and internal examinations, ensuring that these are always arranged and operated in full compliance with the relevant examining body.
Respond to queries and issues raised on the Exams helpdesk and through other communication methods in a timely and efficient manner, dealing with incoming queries from staff and students and advising appropriately, whilst maintaining accurate record keeping systems and student data entries.
Proactively establish and build relationships with other departmental staff to promote excellent communication and to support understanding and embedding of systems.
Ensure that all administrative duties, checks and documentation are completed to the required level of accuracy, including archiving and securely storing documents, both electronic and paper files appropriately, in accordance with any mandatory examining body requirements.
Enter data relating to the student record regarding their qualification with the Awarding Organisation e.g. examination entry, registration details, test results and overall certification, both accurately and efficiently, ensuring all procedures relating to the entry of data are understood and followed, submitting suggestions for improvements to the systems or processes for the collection, entering and validation of data.
Despatch student results and certificates and action any arising queries in a timely manner, maintaining own knowledge and understanding of the wider College systems/ processes e.g. Exam systems, Awarding Organisation Extranet Sites, College Web Site, Moodle, PLP, etc.
Assist the Exams Compliance Officer in monitoring the College's invigilators performance.
In addition all post holders will be required trained to act as Fire Marshals and First Aiders.
