Balfour Hospitality brings exceptional food, drink and boutique stays to our collection of ten pubs and inns, alongside the renowned Balfour Winery. Located across Central London, East Sussex, Kent and the Cotswolds, our venues are known for quality, personality and genuine hospitality.

We are now recruiting a Roaming Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to move into a permanent role.


The Role

Our Roaming Managers support sites across the estate, providing operational cover during holidays, sickness and absence.

This is a hands-on operational role where you will move between pubs and inns, stepping in to ensure smooth, consistent management. Responsibilities include:

* Building staff rotas
* Managing the P&L and reporting
* Stock, cash and liquor controls
* Supporting sales and marketing activity
* Leading, coaching and developing the on-site team
* Ensuring excellent guest experiences at every site

Once a location is stable and fully covered, you move on to the next. This role requires regular travel and occasionally staying away from home during your working week.

What We’re Looking For

Our Roaming Managers are expected to:

* Recruit, support and develop high-performing teams
* Drive standards and deliver exceptional guest experiences
* Generate sales opportunities and contribute to marketing plans
* Work confidently with budgets, forecasts and financial targets
* Maximise revenue and control costs effectively


About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

* Management experience within a premium hospitality setting
* Strong food and drink knowledge
* A solid understanding of financial performance
* Confidence managing bedroom and function enquiries
* A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
* Willingness to work away from home during the week when required
