Job Title: Electrical Repair Technician

Job Description:
As an Electrical Repair Technician, you will operate as part of a team within the offline process. Your responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, fitting/reworking, and testing parts/products to meet acceptance standards.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults with machines, both within the repair areas and on the line when required.
* Perform fitment, rework, and testing of non-conformances raised during the assembly process.
* Follow documented dynamic risk assessments to perform safe and defect-free assembly of parts and components, utilizing various hand/power tools and lifting equipment.
* Operate BCP built machines where required during fitment, rework, and testing processes.
* Train and coach new apprentices within the area.
* Read schematic drawings to identify possible root causes of faults.
* Adhere to Caterpillar's best working practices and Quality Acceptance Standards.
* Follow Caterpillar Production System principles, including continuous improvement, waste elimination, and standard work.
* Participate in product and process improvement dialogues as required.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area in line with 5S and TPM practices.
* Follow the company's Health & Safety policies and safe working practices.
* Undertake training and further learning as required.
Required Qualifications:
* High level of assembly or mechanical aptitude and accuracy.
* Experience as a Repair Technician with build experience across all product value streams.
* Previous electrical diagnosis experience across all product value streams.
* Ability to learn to read hydraulic and electrical schematic drawings.
* Willingness to operate BCP products (training provided).
* Flexible approach to job roles and responsibilities, including willingness to work overtime.
* Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
* Proficiency in using hand/power tools and lifting equipment.
* High attention to detail.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Effective communication skills to liaise across organizational levels.
* Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes of issues.
* Willingness to undertake required training and learning.
* Availability to work a multi-shift pattern.
