Solicitor - Quality & Risk - Bath - 3+ Years PQE
Location: Bath
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week, hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)
A respected law firm is seeking a Quality & Risk Solicitor (or other regulated professional) with 3+ years' post-qualification experience (or equivalent) to join its busy and well-established Quality & Risk team. Role
You’ll be responsible for providing first‑tier advice and support across the firm on professional conduct and compliance matters, including:
* Advising on regulatory compliance, risk management, AML legislation, and conflicts management
* Working closely with the Quality & Risk team, COLP and COFA to analyse complaints, claims, and breaches, assisting with remedial action
* Supervising and advising on escalations from the centralised Onboarding team
* Drafting and maintaining guidance, policies, processes, and precedents
* Supporting internal training on best practice, legislation changes, and regulatory compliance
* Liaising with regulators alongside colleagues
* Keeping up to date with professional, legal, and best practice developments
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor or equivalent professional with:
* 3+ years PQE (or equivalent experience) in a similar compliance/risk role
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory regimes, including:
o The SRA Handbook
o Anti‑Money Laundering legislation
o Bribery and Data Protection legislation
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to different audiences
* Strong planning, time management, and organisational skills
* Confidence in influencing and interacting constructively at all levels of the business
* A collaborative, team‑oriented approach
