Opus People Solutions on behalf of Suffolk County Council have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join their Children in Care Team.
Job Title: Social Worker - Children in Care
Length of assignment: 9 Months
Hours per week: 37
Hourly rate: £35
Location: Lowestoft
Remote/Office based: Hybrid - 3 days a week
Responsibilities
* Practice in line with CiC social work tasks
* Prepare CiC paperwork and pathway plans
* Face to face visits with young people and carers
* Office based work as well as vocational travel
* Duty tasks as needed
* Support young people to prepare for adulthood, especially in relation to completing referrals for post 18 accommodation
* Liaising with educational providers as well as partner agencies as needed
* Able to follow safeguarding procedures
* Prepare and attend supervision
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years of Social Worker experience
* Experience working with Children in Care is preferred
* Ability to adhere to safeguarding procedures
* Strong liaison with educational providers and partner agencies
