Business Development Manager
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team of like‑minded tech people. In this role you will be responsible for driving new business, building client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth strategy.
Responsibilities
* Lead Generation & Prospecting – Identify and research potential clients, markets and business opportunities using razorblue's ICP prospect. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads. Work with Marketing on creative outbound sales campaigns.
* Client Relationship Management – Build and nurture long‑term relationships with clients and partners. Serve as primary point of contact for new and existing clients.
* Sales & Revenue Growth – Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets. Negotiate contracts and close deals to drive revenue.
* Market Research & Analysis – Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Provide insights to inform product development and pricing strategies.
* Proposal Development – Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals. Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions.
* Networking & Partnerships – Attend industry events, conferences and networking sessions. Establish strategic partnerships to expand market reach. Work with Marketing to organise and host prospects at our offices. Prepare presentations using the company's templates for sales meetings.
* Reporting & Forecasting – Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline status in the company's CRM. Prepare regular reports on business development performance and forecasts.
* Collaboration with Internal Teams – Work closely with marketing, product and operations teams to align strategies. Ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for new clients. Attend prospecting meetings with trusted partners. Participate in internal sales meetings.
* Strategic Planning – Contribute to the development of long‑term business growth strategies. Identify new markets and opportunities for expansion.
* Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure all deals comply with company policies and legal requirements. Assess risks associated with new business opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
* Proven track record in business development, sales or account management.
* Experience in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
* Strong negotiation and deal‑closing experience.
Knowledge & Skills
* Previous technical experience (preferably in the IT / ISP / MSP marketplace) would be beneficial.
* Understanding of market research and competitor analysis.
* Knowledge of industry sector and commercial trends.
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; exceptional telephone manner.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
* Self‑motivated, results‑driven, achievement‑oriented with initiative.
* Resilient and able to work under pressure.
* Strategic thinker with proactive approach.
* People‑centric approach & service; conversational fluency in English.
