Overview
We are seeking an experienced Service Support Engineer to join a busy and high‑profile environment supporting security systems across a major airport site. This hands‑on role involves the installation, maintenance, and support of CCTV, ANPR, and associated security technologies, both on‑site and remotely. You will play a key role in ensuring critical systems remain fully operational and compliant with service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day support for CCTV, ANPR, and security systems
* Carry out fault finding, maintenance, and repairs on hardware and software
* Install and configure CCTV cameras, ANPR systems, and related equipment
* Support system applications such as Genetec and similar platforms
* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across site
* Produce clear service reports and maintain documentation
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and site stakeholders
* Participate in an on‑call rota (24/7 shared)
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
Requirements
Essential
* Proven experience working with CCTV and ANPR systems
* Strong background in installation and service support
* Ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults
* Experience working in a field service or support engineering role
* Good communication and problem‑solving skills
Desirable
* Experience with Genetec or similar CCTV VMS systems
* Knowledge of networking, LAN, or IT systems
* Experience with structured cabling or fibre
* Background in airports or high‑security environments
