A well-established private credit investment firm focused on direct lending to middle-market companies across North America is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join its investment team. The firm manages capital on behalf of institutional investors and has a strong track record of performance and growth.
Position Overview:
The Associate will play a key role in the evaluation, execution, and monitoring of private credit investments. This is a hands-on position offering significant exposure to all aspects of the investment process, including due diligence, financial modeling, credit analysis, and portfolio management.
Work Environment:
This is a fully in-person role based in Stamford, CT. The firm offers a collegial and fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct in-depth financial and credit analysis of prospective borrowers
* Build and maintain detailed financial models to support investment decisions
* Participate in due diligence processes, including management meetings and third-party reviews
* Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to the investment committee
* Monitor portfolio company performance and assist in ongoing risk assessment
* Collaborate with senior team members across deal origination, structuring, and execution
Qualifications:
* 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, or leveraged finance
* Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
