RSM’s Finance Function Support (FFS) team is a leading market focused business, providing corporate accounting services to national and multinational corporations, with a focus on helping them to remain compliant and providing insights to their operations.
The Private Business finance support team provides a comprehensive range of services to its clients, which primarily include bookkeeping, preparation of periodic management accounts, and preparation and submission of VAT returns.
We are looking for a Manager to join our Accounting, Insight & Advisory team in our Bristol, Reading, Guildford, Milton Keynes or Leicester offices. In this role, you will act as the controller for a portfolio of clients, leading the reporting of management accounting and ensuring the smooth running of the finance function. You will own the client relationship, maintaining regular communication with client principals and building strong trusted relationships.
You’ll make an impact by:
1. Taking responsibility for a client portfolio including wip/billing management
2. Overseeing and reviewing the timely and accurate preparation of all deliverables, including management accounts, VAT returns and other client deliverables as required
3. Working with clients to resolve issues within the finance function, their accounting records and finance systems
4. Supervising of junior staff with reconciliations and sales/purchase ledger activities including ensuring correct and timely posting of invoices to the general ledger
5. Recognising issues with international implications and act accordingly ( VAT, multi-currency, taxation)

6. Fully qualified ACA/ACCA or minimum 10 years QBE
7. Experience of working in a professional practice, ideally in an equivalent Finance function support team
8. Experience of supervision/management of more junior staff, including training. coaching and performance management
9. A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements
10. Experience in preparing monthly financial reports
