Role Description

As International Service Engineer, you will become an integral part of our dynamic and close-knit service team, providing vital machine testing, demonstration and specialist support, including training, for our customers around the globe.

This role offers a perfect mix of hands-on technical work at our premises in High Wycombe along with the opportunity to travel internationally while collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Canon, Xerox, Ricoh, HP, Hunkeler, and Tecnau.

You will ensure that our state-of-the-art equipment is assembled and tested (and modified if needed) to meet the highest quality standards before shipment and that it meets the needs of each our customers around the world. You'll directly impact our customers' success by ensuring product quality and providing personalised training, troubleshooting, and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work with Engineering to help assemble and test new design solutions.
* Test customer-specific applications, including special machine modifications, at our High Wycombe facility, and demonstrate to the end customer if needed before shipment and installation at client sites.
* Create high-quality sample booklets using customer-supplied materials, to assist the sales team in winning new machine sales.
* Install and commission new machines at customer sites in the UK and around the world.
* Deliver comprehensive training courses (operator and service) to ensure customers and sales agents can operate and maintain our equipment confidently.
* Provide technical support to customers worldwide, troubleshooting and solving technical issues as they arise.
* Visit customer sites to offer backup assistance, install machine upgrades, and conduct refresher training sessions.
* Collaborate with IBIS Product Development Engineers to share insights from the field that can drive product enhancements and the development of new equipment.
* Occasionally visit our manufacturing partner in Slovakia to assist with machine testing and ensure quality control.

Candidate Profile

We're seeking a resourceful and experienced senior engineer with a passion for problem-solving and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Hands-on experience with the installation and commissioning of high-speed electro-mechanical processing equipment in international settings.
* Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, and provide clear, concise reports on actions taken.
* The ability to read electrical schematics and circuit diagrams to quickly identify and fix faults.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with customers at all levels. Experience working with non-native English speakers to resolve technical issues both remotely and in person.
* Confidence in delivering technical training courses to customers and sales agents, to enable them to successfully operate our machines. Familiarity with the print industry and ideally paper handling equipment (advantageous but not essential).
* Proficiency in general PC skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Must be prepared to travel within the UK and internationally as required.

Academic Qualifications:
A relevant mechanical or electrical engineering qualification backed by proven experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
