Seeking a Residential Housing Support Recovery Worker

Be a part of something life-changing.

At Change Grow Live, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to change their direction, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential. We’re a charity that puts people first—whether that’s the individuals we support or our incredible colleagues.

We’re currently looking for a compassionate and organised Residential Housing Support Recovery Worker to join our Kent Recovery Houses team. These recovery-focused homes provide structured accommodation and person-centred support for adults who are abstinent from drugs and alcohol and committed to their ongoing recovery.

As a key member of the team, you’ll support residents in building independence, maintaining abstinence, and preparing to move on to longer-term housing. You’ll also help manage the practical elements of supported housing—from tenancy agreements and rent accounts to health and safety and maintenance.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in supported housing or recovery services, who is ready to bring their skills, empathy, and energy to a team that’s transforming lives every day.

Full Time Hours 37.5 per week

Full time Salary Range £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (Dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours).

* Please note Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

About the role

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working closely with residents to support their recovery and promote independent living in a safe, stable environment. You’ll provide person-centred keywork support while also managing tenancy agreements, rent accounts, and coordinating housing benefit applications.

You’ll also

* Carry out regular health & safety and property checks
* Liaise with maintenance teams and external housing bodies
* Support residents in accessing move-on housing and community resources
* Work as part of a passionate team who are driven by compassion and hope

This role is based across our Folkestone and Canterbury projects.

About you

You’ll be someone who is committed to empowering people on their recovery journeys and confident working in a structured housing environment. You’ll bring both compassion and practicality, with a strong understanding of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and health & safety compliance.

We’re especially looking for people who have

* Experience in supported accommodation, housing management, or social housing
* Knowledge of tenancy agreements and rent arrears processes
* A flexible approach and strong team ethic
* Experience in substance misuse, social care, or recovery work (desirable)
* The ability to travel between Folkestone and Canterbury as needed

What you’ll get from us

* 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays), increasing with service
* Paid ‘Wellness Hour’ every week
* Access to our Employee Assistance Programme and Wellness Hub
* Training and career development opportunities
* Discounts for shopping, cinema, holidays and more
* A friendly and supportive workplace where your voice matters
* Refer a Friend scheme

Join a team that helps people rebuild their lives.
