We're seeking a Production Operative to join our client's team in Whitstable. Initially, to work on jigging, working their way up to electroplating. This role is ideal for candidates with previous jigging experience, particularly in small components.
Key Responsibilities:
* Wiring parts to the jig
* Maintain a clean and organised work area
* Communicate effectively with line managers
* Collaborate with team members for efficient production
* Adhere to safety protocols, including proper PPE usage
* Wash produced parts
Once successful, duties will be :
* Reading and following all relevant documentation and carrying out various Plating and finishing processes.
* Following the Production Plan.
* Heavy lifting
* Working with chemicals
* Keeping accurate Quality records.
* Identifying and carrying out the correct method of jigging for a range of parts and/or wiring / barrelling method.
* Following the correct procedures for the safe handling of chemicals within the Plating department.
* Using an X-ray spectrometer and other quality monitoring equipment to measure plating thickness and carrying out visual inspection to the Company's quality standards.
* Understanding and adhering to the department and Company Health and Safety rules and procedures.
* Competently carrying out the roles of an Electroplater and Metal finisher.
The ideal Production Operative:
* Previous warehouse/production environment experience is essential
* Experience working with small components preferred
* Ideal for someone with jewellery-making experience
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good Dexterity
* Commitment to safety standards
* Quality checking experience (preferred)
