As an experienced Tyre Modelling Engineer (m/f/d), you will have strong knowledge of tyre models and tyre modelling concepts with a bias towards real-time capability. This role will hold a key position within the Vehicle Performance Department where the candidate will support race and road car programs, focusing on tyre and tyre model aspects including overall car performance, handling, and model correlation. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with engineers from various disciplines to improve car performance.

Your Tasks:
* Propose methods to maximize tyre performance using simulation and data-driven approaches
* Parameterize tyre models based on empirical and semi-empirical data
* Develop tools to automate tasks such as parameter fitting to tyre data
* Serve as a technical advisor on tyre performance topics
* Ensure full vehicle and tyre model correlation
* Support tyre testing, including trackside and rig testing
* Report analytic investigations systematically and quantitatively
* Assist R&D projects with planning, analysis, and reporting
* Support other vehicle dynamics activities like suspension kinematics, aerodynamics, brakes, and ride quality
The successful candidate will:
* Hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's or Ph.D. is advantageous
* Have proven expertise in simulation and tyre model development
* Possess an advanced understanding of tyre modelling and performance factors
* Be proficient in scripting languages such as MATLAB and Python
* Understand car sensors relevant to tyre performance and operating conditions
* Demonstrate personal attributes like:
o Methodical and analytical problem-solving skills
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Ability to work collaboratively
o Flexibility in a dynamic environment
o Fluency in English, both written and spoken
